Cities and regions have long been economic engines and social escalators in this country because urban density and diversity sparks creativity and innovation in business, arts, culture, and society. Gentrification and rising wealth and income gaps (between the rich and poor – and specifically black and white people), are now raising important leadership questions: How can cities yield more positive outcomes for all urban residents, small business owners, and long term stakeholders? What can we do to catalyze and accelerate more growth in the ethnic, lower income and/or higher crime neighborhoods? How do we ensure that all members of our communities are involved in these discussions, so we can create move inclusive economic opportunities?
The reception will begin at 7:00 pm and the panel conversation will begin at 8:00 pm.
